About the location:
The SEED lodge is a peaceful retreat centre set outside the small town of Rocklyn, only 2 hours north of Toronto. The air is fresh, the country is quiet, the beds are comfortable & the skies are star-filled. The SEED Lodge sits on 56 acres of farm and forest and is near Blue Mountain, Beaver Valley, Georgian Bay and the Bruce Trail.
About the space:
The lodge is a large 3000 square foot building that used to be a school dormitory. There is a fully stocked kitchen in the centre designed for large groups. There are 2 induction/convection ranges, 2 refrigerators & freezer, 2 microwaves, dishwasher, and BBQ outside. All dishes, cookwares and serve ware is provided and we encourage people to not bring disposable plates etc.. The central island comfortably seats 10 and is usually the gathering hub. The main space is a large room with 30 foots ceiling and a mezzanine up top with bean bags, a couch and tv, where you can chill or do some yoga when you need to.
It offers spacious accommodation from 10-20 guests; 8 bedrooms with two twin beds each and shared bathrooms (5 sinks, 4 showers and 4 individual toilets). For larger groups there is a queen sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath available at an extra charge, as well as two additional twin beds to sleep up to 20.
We are wheelchair accessible.
Out back the 2000 square foot patio with pergola, fire pit and lavender gardens that surround give you the ideal place to star gaze and tell stories around the fire. There are fields all around and a large expansive sky with magnificent sunsets. In the winter months, snow shoes can be provided to explore the land.
A sauna will be the newest addition in October 2024 (we can’t wait!).
Linens and blankets are provided for all guests.

Our specialty:
We specialize in offering therapeutic recreation programs for all sorts of diverse groups and have licensed mental health practitioners who come onsite to deliver our unique programming. Our most popular workshops consist of stress management, conflict resolution & communication, emotional literacy training, nutrition, breathwork and nervous system resiliency for high stress professions. We work with teens to adults, and also families. Contact us with your groups needs and we can send you a list of services we can offer.
