The SEED lodge is a peaceful retreat centre set outside the small town of Rocklyn, only 2 hours north of Toronto. The air is fresh, the country is quiet, the beds are comfortable & the skies are star-filled. The SEED Lodge sits on 56 acres of farm and forest and is near Blue Mountain, Beaver Valley, Georgian Bay & the Bruce Trail.
Originally a dormitory for a "bad girls" school, SEED Lodge is now an eclectic haven where vintage charm meets modern comfort. Imagine a mash-up between a nostalgic summer camp, a funky 90's youth hostel, and the warm coziness of grandma's cottage—all with a creative twist!
This 3,000-square-foot space offers roomy accommodations for up to 20 overnight guests. With 8 bedrooms featuring twin beds, plus an ensuite queen bedroom and two additional beds, there’s plenty of space to unwind. Shared bathrooms are thoughtfully equipped with 5 sinks, 4 individual showers, and toilets, ensuring everyone has what they need.
SEED Lodge also makes a fantastic gathering spot for day events, comfortably hosting 30 guests indoors and up to 60 outdoors.
The fully stocked kitchen in the centre of the building is designed for large groups. There are 2 induction/convection ranges, 2 refrigerators & freezer, 2 microwaves, dishwasher, and BBQ outside. All dishes, cookwares and serve ware is provided and we encourage people to not bring disposable plates etc.. The central island comfortably seats 10 and is usually the gathering hub while food is being prepared.
The main space is a large room with 30 foots ceiling and a mezzanine up top where you can do yoga, meditation, or curl up with your favourite book.
Step outside to discover your very own 2000 square foot patio paradise! Complete with a charming pergola, a cozy fire pit, and a magical mix of pea stones and fragrant lavender gardens, this outdoor oasis is all about relaxation and fun.
You’ll be surrounded by lush fields of clover and alfalfa, under a vast sky that showcases breathtaking sunsets—just one of the area’s many claims to fame! And if you venture a little further back, you’ll find a stunning 40-acre forest, where towering 30-foot mature maples sway gently in the breeze, inviting you to come explore their natural beauty. In fall 2024, come relax and detox in ‘Bertha’, our new wood-fired sauna.
