Make more art.

As an artist and art therapist 20 years in the profession, I can confidently say that:

“Creativity is the most important energy in the universe. Art is our food. When we make with our hands, we heal. Colour, sound, movement, poetry…this is the true language of our soul. May we remember.”

Our artist residencies are a chance for you to dive deep into your creative process, whether you are an established artist or not. At the moment we offer writing and music residencies. You can choose to come to one of our self-directed retreats, or sign up for a guided workshop. Please be sure to join our mailing list to get all the details.

There is a one-time application fee of $30 the first time that you apply for us to review your file.

  • This writing residency is not a vacation or an Airbnb. It is a place for aspiring writers or actual writers to get their work done. You will need to fill out an application form and share a bit about the project that you want to be working on while you stay here at the lodge.

A lot of people might hesitate to call themselves writers. For our purposes, whether you have published or not, if you love writer and want to write, you are a writer. What you should have is a writing project in mind and be able to tell us why it is important for you.

We ask that noise is restricted after 10pm and the indoor kitchen is not used for food preparation during the night..

Other art modalities are welcome as long as they amenable to working at a desk. We will have other art residencies in the future once the art room is set up and going. Graphic novels, illustration etc… are welcome to apply and we will try to accomodate you as best as we can.

    Scholarships and Work-Exchange:

At the moment we cannot offer any scholarships, however we do offer one work-exchange position to access the residency at a reduced cost. Please let us know on your application if this is something that you would need.
